Normally, I don’t share the same photos here and on whatifitdid.com, but today is an exception. Probably because it’s still dark and I’m grumpy… and sleepy.
The content…
Whatifitdid.com has been around since 2008. When you’ve been sharing stuff for so long, categories change as time changes — for example, “Life with Libby” is no longer applicable because the old girl crossed the rainbow bridge years ago. That site is filled with randomness… thoughts and opinions, dogs, 10 years of life in Seymour, etc.
mycountyroad.com is newer and is geared toward rural living, this barndo, nature & photos of such, recipes & food, and of course, dogs. I try not to talk about current events here or rant or provide opinions. I often share home improvement and house things I like or want to make.
Visitor behavior…
I don’t track how many hits each site gets because I don’t care. I do it for me and love looking back at what I was doing years ago and what the weather was like compared to another year… stuff like that. I do glance at analytics from time to time — mainly to see what type of posts visitors like best.
That’s when I found out the craziest thing…
- 61% of visitors to whatifitdid.com are reading on a mobile device.
- 83% of visitors to mycountyroad.com are reading on a desktop.
So for all you desktop users:
Linen! Have you noticed how popular wrinkly linen duvets are? I’m adding making one to my DIY project list. 🙂
